At “Dr. Asher Natural Chiropractic” we offer low volt galvanic muscle stimulation. This treatment is typically provided in combination with heat via hydrocollator packs. These 2 therapies allow Dr. Asher to target and alleviate specific areas that may be suffering due to muscle tension or muscle spams. After these areas are released, Dr. Asher is able to provide a more effective adjustment to the area due to less restriction. This therapy works to loosen up the muscles and also increase circulation to the area. This allows lactic acid to move out of the area, and new blood to surge in with new oxygen and nutrients that assists in rejuvenating the area. Once the muscles relax, there is less restriction in the area, which provides an increase in range of motion. This release further assists to decrease pain and helps to speed up recovery time.
