Digital X-Ray

At Dr. Asher Natural Chiropractic

Dr. Asher uses state-of-the-art X-ray technology to asses each patient’s underlying skeletal structures. If necessary for your condition, we may suggest X-rays. These X-rays are essential for creating the most effective treatment plan and identifying any significant spinal conditions. Reviewing your X-rays up close can provide valuable insight, helping you gain a better understanding of your condition and available treatment options.

Dr. Asher uses digital X-ray software to review patient radiographs. During the report of findings, Dr. Asher educates each of his patients on why their body is in pain, and how he will construct a plan to begin adjusting the improper biomechanics back into correction. This decrease in nerve pressure will allow the body to stop sending warning signals of pain and begin to restore mobility. With this software, Dr. Asher is able to make measurements and draw weight bearing lines on the film, making it easy to educate his patients on the source of their pain.

Dr. Asher is also able to provide X-ray analysis to determine if one leg is shorter than the other, and also determine if that imbalance is leading to pain somewhere else in the body. In the past few years, science has shown that it is becoming more common for humans to develop with one leg shorter than the other. This condition is known as Anisomelia. This condition may occur due to multiple reasons including but not limited to congenital development (abnormal growth), trauma affecting growth plates below the age of 20, and fractured foot and/or leg bones.

If Dr. Asher discovers that one leg is shorter than the other, don’t worry, we can help! Dr. Asher works with a company called “Foot Levelers.” This company has a scanner that scans your feet and determines how much weight is being placed through each foot. Based on the scan, the company creates custom shoe orthotics that can fit in most shoes. This orthotic will be conformed specifically to your scan to help remove the improper pressure that is being placed on your feet. Dr. Asher is also able to recommend a heel lift be added to the short leg side to begin balancing the rest of your body.
