Meet Dr. Don “Asher“ Collins, your local chiropractor rooted on the Westbank. Dr. Asher received his doctorate of chiropractic from Parker Chiropractic College in Dallas, Texas, in December 2012. When it comes to chiropractic care, Dr. Asher is a natural, his father, mother, uncle, and two cousins are all chiropractors.

As an associate, Dr. Asher worked for two years with his father, Dr. Ronald Collins, and then three years with his mother, Dr. Celine Lemieux. In 2018, he established “Dr. Asher Natural Chiropractic,” incorporating insights from both experiences.

While grounded in family tradition, Dr. Asher’s treatment techniques set him apart. Specializing in diverse methods like Diversified, Gonstead, Thompson, Activator, SOT, Extraspinal Techniques, Myofascial Release, Trigger Point Therapy, and Applied Kinesiology, Dr. Asher offers a comprehensive array of options. He also holds a certificate in physical therapy from the National Board of Chiropractic Examiners (not a licensed physical therapist), expanding his expertise.

Office Manager Katie Collins

Born and raised in Houma, Louisiana, Katie met Dr. Asher while attending Nicholls State University, and married in May of 2009. She earned her bachelor’s degree in child, family, and social service from Nicholls State, and obtained a second bachelor’s degree in communication disorders from Utah State University. Katie spent 10 years teaching and working as a special education administrator in the city of New Orleans while simultaneously assisting Dr. Asher at the office in her free time.

Katie has fallen in love with chiropractic care and the importance of living life naturally. She discontinued her work in the educational field to become a full time office manager. She is passionate about forming relationships with patients and assisting them on their road to recovery. In addition to being office manager, Katie is a chiropractic assistant, a certified chiropractic x-ray technician, and is also certified in IDD therapy for spinal decompression via the Accu-Spina table.
